Mile 87.2 Hamilton Creek Bridge

Hamilton Creek Bridge crosses Hamilton Creek. It was built in 1909, stands 22 feet high and is 46 feet long




Mile 98.6 French Creek Trestle

This trestle crosses French Creek and was built in 1913. It is 92 feet high and consists of 63 spans making  the total length 1063 feet.












Mile 93 Englishman River Trestle

This trestle crosses Englishman River.  It is 80 feet high and 335 feet long.  It consists of 3 spans with spans 1&3 built in 1923 and span number 2 built in 1909.

Refuge Bay

Mile 4.5 Helmcken Road

This bridge crosses over Helmcken Road.  It was built in 1961, is 45 feet long and stands 18 feet high

Mile 4.0 Highway 1A

This bridge crosses Highway 1A.  It was built in 1911, is 17 feet high and 41 feet 4 inches long. Most of the bridge was rebuilt in 2010




Mile 1.30 Hereward Road Bridge

This bridge crosses Hereward Road. It was built in 1914, stands 15 feet high and spans 47 feet 2 inches.  It is nicknamed "the can opener" because of the several trucks that got stuck under it over the years.







Mile 0.0 Johnson Street Bridge (Blue Bridge)

The Johnson Street Bridge would have been where the Victoria to Courtenay line would have started with the train station located at the east end of Johnson Street. The raised section of the photo is the rail bridge with the car bridge beside it.  It was replaced in 2018 with a 3 lane car bridge




Mile 0.20 Harbour Road

Close to the Johnson Street Bridge and train station this is the second bridge on the E&N Victoria Subdivision line. It crosses Harbour Road and is 16.4 feet high

Mile 18.2 Unnamed Waterway

 This bridge was built in 1935.  It is 17 feet long and 7 feet high








Wellcox Subdivision Mile 1.02- Chase River

Several times a week propane cars are barged over from the mainland and hauled to Superior Propane. Other than museums the Wellcox line is the only active rail line on the island.

Mile 37.6 Koksilah Overflow Trestle

This overflow trestle was built in 1985 and is located just South of Duncan. It is 20 feet high, 75 feet long and has 5 spans supporting it

Mile 46.6 Westholme Overflow Trestle

This overflow trestle is located near Crofton. It was built in 1973, stands 11 feet high and has a length of 45 feet made up of 3 spans
